Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum (NYEF)

Second annual general meeting of Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum was held yesterday, 9th August 2009 at Soaltee Crowne Plaza. The program started with a brainstorming session between the members and all three Chapters members ( Biratnagar, Pokhara, Birgunj) which came up with a long term strategy for 2009-2014. A new executive committee for the year 2009-2011 was unanimously elected comprising of eight members along with President Mr. Anuj Kumar Shrestha, Chairman, Direction Exhibition and Convention Centre and other executive members are as follows:

Mr. Sudhir Parajuli, CEO, Subisu Cablenet Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Kush Kumar Joshi, President, FNCCI and Patron of NYEF inaugurating the program promised to support NYEF in coming days also. Mr. Saurabh Jyoti, Immediate Past President of NYEF Congratulated the new team.

In the duration of these five years, NYEF has worked constantly to help its members to build upon their success through array of learning and networking opportunities. The Forum has been conducting various workshops and trainings to enhance young entrepreneurs' knowledge and experience to enable them to gain better sight about relevant issues that effects business arena. NYEF is also actively involved in various projects to develop youth into leader and entrepreneurs. Some of its other major projects are Nepal Youth Business Foundation (NYBF), Made in Nepal Campaign and Peace Campaign. NYEF has also been involved in the issues of youth policy and organized an interaction program with the participation of 15 youth organization and task force members to provide suggestions on the drafted Youth policy. A part from that NYEF in coordination with Confederation of Nepalese Industries Youth Forum (CNIYEF) organized a program to provide suggestion for economic growth where the key note speakers were Mr. Babu Ram Bhattrai, Senior Maoist Leader, Mr. Barsahaman Pun and Mr. Krishna Acharya. The forum conducted its first Corporate Triathlon as a successful fundraising program at Park Village resort on 16th May 2009. Besides that NYEF chapters have also been continuously working on entrepreneurship promotion, advocacy and youth related issues.
