Made in Nepal

Made in NepalCampaign – Made in Nepal (MiN) is one of the initiations of NYEF. The Made in Nepal concept was official launched on July 11, 2006 at the Hotel Annapurna. MiN is not just another campaign but a movement in making. A movement which comes with a noble thought of every Nepalese citizen contributing towards the country's ailing economy by promoting Nepalese industries. This campaign aims to bring about the behavioral change among the Nepalese consumer to start consuming Nepalis product. The motive behind the campaign is to motivate people to use the products made in Nepal and to create awareness and give value to the Nepal made products.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Motivate people to use Nepali products
  • Increase economic opportunities due to growth of Nepalese industry
  • Increase standard of local industry by being customer focused
  • Increase employment opportunities
  • Promote SMEs
  • Increase competitiveness of industry both locally and globally
  • Export Promotion

The major part of the campaign is the mega event – a Made in Nepal exhibition where various types of Nepali products will be showcased all under the same roof. NYEF has successfully organized two Made in Nepal Exhibitions so far, the first Made in Nepal Expo 2006 was held from September 5 -10, 2006 at the Bhrikuti Mandap Hall and the second expo was  from 5-9 March 2008, Bhrikuti Mandap Kathmandu. The exhibition hall was occupied by various Nepali products beautifully displayed under the same roof. The main displays were shoes, towels, tea, Noodles, ornaments, herbal products, stationeries, shawls, machineries, steels, security systems, banks and services.
