Made in Nepal is one of the key initiatives of NYEF. The Made in Nepal concept was officially launched on July 11, 2006 at Hotel Annapurna. This concept is not just another campaign but a movement in making. A movement which comes with a noble thought of every Nepalese citizen contributing towards the country’s ailing economy by promoting Nepalese industries. This campaign aims to bring about behavioral change among the Nepalese consumer to start consuming Nepalese products and services. The motive behind the campaign is to encourage people to use products and services made in Nepal and create awareness to give value to Made in Nepal products and services. The other aspect of this initiative is to improve the quality of products and services Made in Nepal.

The major part of this campaign is the mega event – a Made in Nepal exhibition - where various types of Nepalese products and services are showcased under one roof. This is a regular event with exhibitions in home and abroad.

The long-term vision of this exhibition is to promote Nepalese brands in national and international level and to establish them in the international market. We believe that this exhibition will help motivate people to use Nepal made products and services, and provide impetus for sustainable growth of Nepalese industries.
